At 70 years old, retired marine zoologist Helen Allison is making waves in the niche sport of competitive freediving. Speaking from her accommodation at the Camotes Islands in the Philippines, where she set three world records during the CMAS World Cup in May, Dr Allison reflected on being one of the sport’s oldest competitors, and how it keeps her feeling young.
