Three Sisters Springs and Homosassa Springs are two of the best places to find manatees. We conduct tours to swim with manatees in the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge. Tours are conducted from stable boats with heavy duty ladders, where we enter the water to encounter wild manatees in their natural habitat.

What kind of manatees live in Crystal River? Crystal River is home to the West Indian manatee, specifically the Florida manatee. These large, gentle herbivores (plant eaters) migrate to the area’s warm springs during the winter to escape the colder waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
