Tantrix is an elegant coffee-table strategy game from New Zealand. Its intriguing mixture of skill and chance makes Tantrix a fun family game, at the same time as being utterly addictive to the serious player.

Tantrix Solitaire comes in four different editions, each with their own 3-colour combination of links. The tiles of each set are numbered from 1 to 14. Combining all four editions together creates a full large-tile set of Tantrix needed to play the multiplayer game.

Tantrix is a visual-spacial strategy game and puzzle for 1 to 4 players. It was created in 1988 by former New Zealand backgammon champion Mike McManaway while on a camping holiday in Torres del Paine National Park in Chile.

A complete set of Tantrix contains over 40 solitaire challenges for the puzzle enthusiast. Most puzzles use subsets of the 56 tiles which a player has to carefully select. Generally one can assume, that the more tiles a puzzle has, the harder it is.

Tantrix Match is made up of 13 tiles, a tray and a selection of puzzle cards. Each tile is unique and most puzzles have only one solution. The difficulty of a puzzle is determined by the number and position of pre-placed clues. How to Play: Place a puzzle card in the tray.

The first ever Tantrix Table Tournament was held in Cambridge, UK back in 2002 and was run in conjunction with the Mind Sports Olympiad. Each year, more events were added to the tournament calendar and these "Table Opens" have now been held in over ten different countries.
