The McLaren M838T engine is a 3.8-litre (3,798.6 cc) 90-degree twin-turbocharged flat-plane V8, designed and developed in collaboration with Ricardo. [1]

The McLaren M840T engine is a 4.0 L (244.1 cu in), 90-degree, twin-turbocharged, flat-plane V8 petrol engine, designed, developed and produced by McLaren, in partnership and collaboration with Ricardo, and introduced with their 720S sports car model, in 2017.

At the heart of the W1 lies a work of automotive art: the all-new MHP-8 V8 engine. This ground-up design features port and direct injection to generate every last horsepower from every ounce of fuel and combines with the e-module to deliver a monumental 1,275PS with incredible responsiveness at low and high revs.
