God is a personal, all-powerful, all-knowing, eternal, loving, spirit-composed family currently composed of the Father and Jesus Christ (see John 10:30 - 31, 17:20 - 23, 1John 3:1 - 2). The Being known as the Father is the Sovereign Ruler of all. He has always possessed righteous character and is full of mercy and grace.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God . . . All things came into being through Him, and not even one thing that was created came into being without Him. And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us . . . (John 1:1, 3, 14, HBFV).

Numbers 7, with its 89 verses, is the second largest single chapter in God's word! The biggest is Psalm 119 with a whopping 176 verses. The book of the minor prophet Micah contains seven chapters. The only chapters in God's word to contain 7 verses are Psalm 11, 14, 54, 67, 87, 110, 120, 142, Isaiah 18 and Jeremiah 47.

The apostle John reveals the truth about this trait when he says, "The one who does not love does not know God because God is love . . . And the one who fears has not been made perfect in the love of God" (1John 4:8, 18). By lovingkindness and truth iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of the Lord one keeps away from evil (Proverbs 16:6).

God declared, through an unnamed prophet, that he would have the two men (Eli's sons) executed on the same day because of their many sins (1Samuel 2:25, 34). This prophecy was fulfilled when the Philistines not only killed them during a battle but also took from under their care the Ark of the Covenant (1Samuel 4:1 - 11).

God is not everywhere at once, but in one place only. In fact, he does not appear to even have his eyes constantly watching every thought, choice and action that humans make. God uses a variety of ways to communicate with humans such as through visions, signs and wonders, angels, shadows and patterns, and many others. One of the most common means used in Scripture to convey his will is through dreams. "Hear now My words.

They are thank offerings (Leviticus 7:11 - 12), votive (vow) offerings and free-will offerings (Leviticus 7:16). The thank offering is in acknowledgment of receiving an act of God's grace. The free-will offering is an act of love and generosity toward the Eternal. Peace offerings, in general, symbolized complete peace with God.

Soon after this event God tells Abraham (Genesis 12:1 - 2), who is now 75 years old, to leave Haran and take his family to the land of Canaan (the land of promise). He then makes a startling promise to Abram. God says that he will bless those who bless him and curse those who curse him (Genesis 12:3)!

God. We worship the one true and Almighty God, the Creator, whose name is Jehovah. (Psalm 83:18; Revelation 4: 11) He is the God of Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. —Exodus 3:6; 32:11; John 20:17. Bible. We recognize the Bible as God’s inspired message to humans.
