Heads up: Dojo details given at HotChips conference - Tesla …
2013年3月6日 · Tesla did what Tesla always does when faced with a difficult task, they engineered the snot out of the problem. As we all know, FSD is chronically behind, and Tesla has been relying on their own GPU cluster (the world's 6th or 7th largest supercomputer GPU cluster), to bang out iteration after iteration of the FSD inference network.

2014年8月12日 · If one is to believe the $1B for dojo is for the Tesla version of dojo then we can do some math: $1B / 10K = $100K for each Tesla dojo chip. If the $1B if for both nVidia and Tesla dojo then it is $1B / 20K = $50K for each chip and supporting hardware. According to below article h100 costs $30K each:

2019年11月24日 · We do have a major program at Tesla — which we don’t have enough time to talk about today — called Dojo. That’s a super powerful training computer. The goal of Dojo will be to be able to take in vast amounts of data — at a video level — and do unsupervised [a.k.a. self-supervised] massive training of vast amounts of video with the ...

2022年8月24日 · Tesla is more than an automotive company – it's also a tech company. Thus, it only made sense for Tesla, as a tech company, to present more details surrounding their new Dojo supercomputer, previously showcased at last year's AI Day, alongside announcements from companies such as Intel and NVIDIA at the HotChips 34 conference.

2022年12月2日 · or does dojo somehow either write code that ultimately looks like human code, "IF these parameters are true, THEN do the following" OR is our tesla hw 3.0 able to somehow run the rules that dojo creates? so from my perspective, dojo gets trained, and ultimately creates rules. then i'm wondering if the car can "read" those rules and follow them.

2017年8月3日 · Elon Musk and representatives for Tesla didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment. The Dojo supercomputer is being designed to handle massive amounts of data, including video from Tesla cars, which are needed to train autonomous-driving software. At the core of the hardware is Tesla’s proprietary D1 chip.

2018年7月24日 · With Dojo, I guess the finish line would be when the Dojo computers replace (likely Nvidia) GPUs for the Tesla AI team's daily/weekly/monthly training workloads. Dojo seems like it might be optimized specifically for training on video, so GPUs might still be used for non-video training tasks (e.g. some prediction and planning tasks might use ...

2020年10月3日 · Tesla collects millions of video clips from our cars. Tesla then puts those clips into their training computer like DOJO which creates a neural network. Tesla then puts that NN into our cars which does the driving. When we disengage or intervene with FSD, Tesla can collect a video clip of that intervention to add to their training set.
