You can get guide books for nantou rent a car and go. Sun moon lake is good for a quick visit, idathao quay also has a lot of great snacks, quality was better than years ago!

2016年5月13日 · Sun Moon lake has its merits though. There is a really neat aboriginal park there in addition to some really good food at the market by the lake. For the sake of convenience I would probably just stay in Taipei on your first visit. You can take buses for day trips from there all over the place; for instance Yilan is like an hour away.

2023年12月3日 · Sun Moon Lake (you): just a mountain and a lake. Plain old street food and trinkets Sun Moon Lake (me): the sunrise was really nice and peaceful as it came over the mountain. Biking around the lake was nice, too. Agree on the food -- nothing much different. Really enjoyed the hikes and the gondola up the mountain -- great view.
