It is the gateway to Acoma “Sky City”. Acoma Pueblo, New Mexico is more than just a tourist destination. Its part of New Mexico's cultural heritage, as the oldest continuously inhabited settlement in North America and the 28th Historic Site designated by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Acoma Sky City consists of rows of houses atop a high mesa. You start at the visitor’s center, where there’s a small museum that wasn’t overly impressive and took us less than 15 minutes to see. For the tour, you take a short bus ride to the top where a native guide takes you around the pueblo on a tour that takes about 1.5 hours.
