In the middle of the film Lenny had helped the shrimp escape from the dinning room. During the events he was crying over his brother dying from the anchor.Then Oscar had hid Lenny so that the other fish people won't see him. lenny likes to be a dolphin.

Lenny cries in anguish right after Frankie's passing. Lenny begging Oscar to take him home with him. Oscar and Lenny hiding behind the wall. "Oh you're a liar." Lenny knows the Sharkslayer is a phony since he was there when the anchor crushed Frankie. Oscar sneaking Lenny into the reef.
