Saturation-Transfer Difference (STD) NMR: A Simple and Fast …
2011年4月18日 · Saturation transfer difference (STD) NMR has emerged as one of the most popular ligand-based NMR techniques for the study of protein−ligand interactions.
1. Run STD experiments on one sample (usually EL 50-100). 2. Choose a range of different saturation times D20 between 0.25s and 5s. Make sure D1 is either 0.5s longer than D20 (this will speed up your overall experiment time – data will be ok) or set D1 to 3 T1 (this will lead to longer overall experiment time, but provide more consistent data).
STD NMR as a Technique for Ligand Screening and Structural …
STD NMR is a powerful ligand-based tool for screening small molecules and low molecular weight fragments for their interaction with a given macromolecule. Such information is invaluable both in the drug discovery sector and in understanding fundamental biological interactions.
In this context, the saturation transfer difference NMR (STD-NMR) experiment has been used for some years to characterize ligand receptor complexes. The STD-NMR experiment is based on the nuclear Overhauser effect and in the observation of the ligand resonance signals.

Saturation Transfer Difference (STD) - NMR experiment …
The best application of STD-NMR is ligand/drug screening, to identify ligand(s) that interacts with the host from a compound pool (multiple compounds) . In this system, the host is usually larger molecules, such as proteins and nucleic acids.
Saturation Transfer Difference Spectroscopy (STD). - Glycopedia
Saturation Transfer Difference Spectroscopy (STD). The STD NMR experiment (Mayer & Meyer, 1999) is another spectroscopic technique to study the interactions, in solution, between a large molecule (receptor) and a medium-small sized molecule (ligand), and, alike tr-NOESY, it is based on the Nuclear Overhauser effect and the observation and ...
Imaging Saturation Transfer Difference (STD) NMR: Affinity and ...
2023年7月24日 · We have combined saturation transfer difference NMR (STD NMR) with chemical shift imaging (CSI) and controlled concentration gradients of small molecule ligands to develop imaging STD NMR, a new tool for the assessment of protein–ligand interactions.
STD-NMR: application to transient interactions between
By observing the signals of a small molecule (ligand) with spectroscopic properties suitable for high-resolution studies, irrespective of receptor size, STD NMR enables quantitative structural and affinity information to be obtained about the molecular recognition process under study.
