9mm PC Charger vs .45 LC Carbine? - Ruger Forum
2024年12月8日 · I personally don't see an LC carbine in 9mm coming out. The PC carbine would be direct competition within the brand and there are lots of 9mm carbines on the market with the pistol style in-grip magwell (Keltec, Hi Point, S&W, carbine conversion kits, etc). While I am a Ruger fan, I think some of the competing products on the market at similar ...
Scope for a Ruger PC Carbine 9MM
2023年12月1日 · Ruger does not have a scope recommendation method that I am aware of. I own a Ruger PCC model 19122 seen below. Right now, I am using a 3moa red dot. The effective range of the 9x19 keeps me at reddots for it. I had a 2moa aimpoint pro dot on it at first. That was a bit too fine. 3moa open dot fits its uses much better imo. I would not put a ...
Ruger PCC vs S&W FPC - Ruger Forum
2023年8月11日 · I understand their thinking. The 9mm carbine is a very good short range option for most situations and a legal option in a large number of places. (Straight wall case, semi auto, magazine controlled capacity, lower noise, heavy drop rather soon in the bullets flight, available and cheap ceterfire ammunition). Same things I love about my Ruger.
Zero distance for PC Carbine - Ruger Forum
2018年6月14日 · I regard the PC Carbine as a short-range weapon. As such, I have mine set to a 25 yard zero. Right now I'm running it with a 3x BDC carbine scope from Nikon, but I may change to a red-dot/reflex sight. At my rifle club, some of the PC Carbine guys are using their rifles to "plug" 6" steel plates at 100 yards . . . with boring regularity. - Brad
Reloading specifically for 9mm PC Carbine - Ruger Forum
2019年8月15日 · Speer does not recommend the use of 147gr bullets for 9mm PCC reloading. This is probably due to most PCCs being a blowback action ala Hi-Point with the bolt pushing against a heavy weight, and NOT a locked breech like most 9mm pistols where the slide and barrel travel backwards, briefly, locked together, until pressure can drop to a safe level.
Ruger PC Carbine 9mm - Magazine Choices - Ruger Forum
2021年6月21日 · The Ruger PC Carbine 9mm comes with accommodation for two different types of magazines; the Ruger standard (SR-Series ) comes pre-installed, plus it ships with an adaptor for Glock magazines. I don't have any other 9mm firearms so cross-compatibility isn't my issue. I will want to purchase multiple magazines though.
S&W folding carbine 9mm vs. Ruger PCC in 9mm: Which is better ...
2024年12月18日 · Magazines overtravel on it, and shooters can, and do bend ejectors by smacking magazines in. This often leads to stovepipes, because a bent ejector drags on the bolt. But I don't want to overstate this problem. You don't have to baby your Ruger on reloads -- just don't abuse it. It amazes me that Ruger retains zero despite being a takedown.
9mm Carbine Velocity - Ruger Forum
2022年11月9日 · It needs at least 1000 fps to open up and not over penetrate. The mushroom style expansion isn’t visually impressive at pistol velocities but at 1525 fps it mushrooms much more impressively and will normally penetrate about 18” from a carbine. It’s also 1 MOA accurate and 200 yard capable, which is a plus for a 9mm carbine.
Question about ammo selection for Ruger PC carbine
2018年10月19日 · Any good defensive load for a 9mm pistol will also be the best choice for a carbine. Remington Golden Saber, Speer Gold Dot or Federal HST. Only difference is you'll be getting 150-200 fps. extra velocity and correspondingly higher energy out of the longer barrel.
Looking at the PCC 9mm, may deer hunt with it | Ruger Forum
2023年10月28日 · A carbine will extend 9mm range but beyond bow range even a carbine is inadequate. Reloading will improve things a bit but the ballistics are what they are. 9mm isn't consistently suitable for hunting anything bigger than a rabbit. 9mm has killed deer, coyotes and even a few pigs but overall it's a lousy choice for hunting.
