We decided to stay in Valletta and it was a very good choice. We spent four nights and three days in Malta, and that was fine.

2021年11月9日 · My wife and I plan a one-week visit to Malta in June, 2022. We would greatly appreciate any advice on the best place to stay to act as a base for our visit. We prefer a modestly priced location, located within walking distance to restaurants, culture, public transportation, etc.

2023年2月20日 · I spend six days in Malta this past summer, and had a car for three of them. I would highly recommend driving to the Blue Grotto and taking the boat ride there. Hagar Qim is right nearby and easy to pair with the Blue Grotto. Other sights around Malta that are interesting include the Dingli Cliffs, Mosta Rotunda, Migra I-Ferha, and Fomm ir-Rih.

2021年6月7日 · After 5 or so weeks in Italy, I think that Malta would be an interesting change of pace. We spend 18 nights in Malta in January/early February 2020 and used the Brandt guidebook for planning. Malta is spread out and it tough for us to decide where to stay. Public transportation is good and you can get almost anywhere on bus or ferry.

2019年2月2日 · St John's Co-Cathedral (in Valletta) is one of the co-cathedrals of the Diocese of Malta. There are both guided tours and self guided ones about it's history. The sanctuary might not be open, for it's a working cathedral. At the tip of the peninsula where Valletta is located is Ft. St. Elmo. It is also where the Malta War Museum is located.

2014年3月11日 · While Malta is a small island, getting to and fro is slooooooooow going (the Arriva bus, the public transportation company, is a bit of a disaster; a local we spoke with on the bus said she starts running errands at 4:00am to get anything done) and you may not be able to fit in more than 2 or 3 sights per day (outside Valletta).
