2022年12月16日 · ALL my favorites are now a complete mess, and I lost favorite folders, research paper links, and everything is different (o;d favorites/folders I deleted months ago, etc.) How do I restore back to a previous session and get my favorites back the way I had them yesterday? I've removed syncing for now, as this is a HUGE problem for school and work.

I did not backup my favorites before doing the reset in Microsoft Edge or have sync on at the time. I currently have only old favorites from long ago, which is apparently when I turned sync off. I've tried other places logged in, but they are old favorites too.

2021年1月1日 · A few years back, I had initially relocated a bunch of user folders (Pictures, Downloads, Favorites, ....) to a different drive (T:). My favorites on that backup were from T: drive. So I restored the Favorites folder and started up MS Edge. The Favorites bar is empty.

2021年5月5日 · I closed Edge then copied the "default" folder from my backup and overwrote the "default" folder in c: Users\ xxxxxxx \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Edge \ UserData on my laptop. When I opened Edge again my bookmarks and setting were back. It didn't restore my extensions. I hope this helps anyone else who may have the same problem.

2024年9月18日 · What you can do is, press Ctrl + Shift + O to open Favorites. Click the three dots up the top and Export your current favorites. Exit Edge then open Task Manager and end task on any msedge instances that are still running. Go to the Bookmarks location and rename Bookmarks to Bookmarks.orig. Rename Bookmarks.bak to just Bookmarks
