There is a beautiful beach at Waialea Bay (also known as "Beach 69") that is part of the Hapuna Beach State recreation area. It is just north of Puako Beach Drive but is a park, with a beautiful long sandy beach (at low tide at least), great snorkeling, and a big parking lot.
