Do they dump chemicals in these lakes to kill off peacock bass, or is this some kind of weather related phenomenon where they cant handle cold fronts like largemouth bass?

Over twenty thousand Butterfly Peacock Bass were released to help control the growing population of exotic fishes, particularly the Spotted Tilapia and Oscar.

Easiest way to catch them is with live shiners or catching them off a nest which is like shooting fish in a barrel. Good lures to use are poppers, propbaits, jerkbaits, crankbaits, lipless crankbaits, and jigs. Good luck and have fun.
