Operative Dentistry is a new journal whose purpose is to advance the practice of operative dentistry-its art, its science, and its craft. It is a journal designed to be of direct and immediate appeal to the busy dentist, the recent dental graduate, and the dental educator.

AOEA is the collaboration of all 9 Operative Dentistry graduate programs to highlight the required skills and knowledge that these programs provide their graduates; many of whom maintain roles in academics and/or research to teach the next generation of dentists.

Operative dentistry. Operative dentistry in this context includes any definitive direct-fill restorations, such as amalgams, resins, or glass ionomers. Completion of the operative dentistry plan is predicated on the patient’s ability to tolerate and cooperate with the treatment and his or her level of adherence to recommended preventive therapy.

Operative Dentistry is a refereed, international journal published bi-monthly and distributed to subscribers in over 50 countries. Papers are submitted by authors from around the globe, in the categories of Clinical Research, Laboratory Research, Clinical Techniques/Case Presentations and Invited Papers, as well as Editorials and Abstracts....
