I decided to finally play No Man's Sky a short while back. I love open world survival and exploration games. After 8 years of regular updates, I thought for sure I would get some enjoyment out of it. Unfortunately, it just fell flat for me. Each world feels empty and repetitive while the game is also somewhat directionless.

If Hello Games vanished tomorrow, No Man's Sky would still be fully playable as a solo game. And it would be totally worth it. The only thing you would lose would be the consistent and regular updates for free, and the multiplayer aspect, which would be sad for some folks, sure.

No Man’s Sky is not a bad game, nor is it the Game of the Year many expected. It is good for what it is and you can have fun with it for a long time. Just don’t expect more than it really is. In its current state with day-one patch the game still suffers from various bugs and crashes.

2018年7月26日 · As far as a better game, God of War far outclasses No Man's Sky when it comes to polish and things of that nature. And I would expect that to be a case when you put a team of 15 people (over the last two years it's grown to 25) up against 200 - 300 developers there is no way you are going to reach that level.

And with the recent updates and expansions, there's never been a better time to jump into this vast universe and see what it has to offer.

2022年3月20日 · I have hundreds of hours in NO Mans Sky but the frequent content updates have yet to even attempt to address the gameplay loop problem and there is a core part of the player base completely opposed to it being addressed. They just wasn't variation so they can be space tourists. No Mans Sky is a story of unmatched potential completely wasted.
