Neutrophil Cell Markers - R&D Systems
Although neutrophils can be visually identified based on the shape of their nuclei and cytoplasmic granularity, they can also be identified by flow cytometry. Surface markers are used to identify and classify subsets of neutrophils. These neutrophil markers are important for activation and cellular function of both mature and immature neutrophils.
Neutrophil Overview | Thermo Fisher Scientific - US
Under homeostatic conditions, neutrophils are most prevalent circulating in the periphery, making flow cytometry a convenient tool for their characterization. A list of relevant immunophenotyping markers can be found in Table 2 .
Optimized flow cytometry assays to monitor neutrophil …
Polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMNs) protect the host from invading microorganisms. However, excessively activated PMNs can also cause damage to host tissues under inflammatory conditions. Here we developed simple assays to determine the activation state of PMNs in human whole blood that contains so …
Optimization of methods for the accurate characterization of …
2022年3月7日 · Our data indicate that staining whole blood at 4 °C within 3 h of blood draw, removal of unbound antibodies to minimize nonspecific antibody binding, followed by treatment with One-step Fixation...
OMIP‐100: A flow cytometry panel to investigate human neutrophil …
Markers present in the OMIP allow the profiling of neutrophil subsets associated with ontogeny, migration, phagocytosis capacity, granule release, and immune modulation.
Identification of neutrophil surface marker changes in health and ...
2016年3月15日 · To identify cell-surface markers specific to human neutrophils, we used high-throughput flow cytometry to screen neutrophil populations isolated from blood and oral rinses from healthy and chronic periodontitis patients against a panel of 374 known cluster of differentiation (CD) antibodies.
The use of flow cytometry to measure neutrophil function
1999年12月17日 · Flow cytometry allows the rapid detection of apoptotic neutrophils by permitting the measurement of a variety of parameters that alter during the onset and progression of apoptosis. It has significantly aided our understanding of neutrophil apoptosis and its potential role in the pathogenesis of neutrophil-induced inflammatory conditions.
Flow Cytometry for Measuring Neutrophil Function
2022年5月27日 · This paper details methods for the measurement of neutrophil ROS and phagocytosis function using flow cytometry. The methods offer relatively simple and cost-effective ways to measure neutrophil function in both the clinical and research setting.

Flow cytometric assay for direct quantification of Neutrophil ...
Here we describe a novel flow cytometry (FLOW)-based assay to identify and quantify NETs using antibodies against key NETs constituents, specifically DNA, modified histones and granular enzymes. This method is applicable to both murine and human samples for the assessment of induced NETs in vitro, or detection of NETosis in vivo in blood samples.
