Lucie Willan is currently head gardener at Sparoza the headquarters of the Mediterranean Garden Society. She was passionate about plants and historic gardens from an early age. Having studied Art History at Cambridge, she spent the first ten years of her career working in the art world, latterly as an oriental carpet specialist at Christie’s.

The Mediterranean Garden Society naturally appeals to gardeners and plantsmen and women in the mediterranean climate zone who wish to share the experiences and knowledge of their fellow enthusiasts.
