The C8 Corvette has already proven that it’s capable of punching far above its weight class, putting up a good fight against all sorts of much more expensive and powerful exotic machinery. That includes more than one McLaren, of course.

2024年5月27日 · The McLaren 650S is an evolutionary update of their previous MP4-12C.....a well proven and reliable platform (for McLaren....lol). My Ferrari and Lotus were the same....mature cars building on engineering lessons learned from previous generations.

2024年9月19日 · C8 ERay/Hybrid/EV Discussion - LPE 427 ERay = Taillights to C8 ZR1 - I've had much fun this summer tormenting a few of the local C8 Z06 guys with my McLaren 650S. I was planning to trade for a 720S sometime this winter, install an E85 tune + exhaust, and torment C8 ZR1 guys next summer. Had lunch with the guys today...

The 650S production run totaled about 3,300 cars globally and about 50% were for the US Market.....a rare car indeed that you would think should hold it's value better. Msrp on the McLaren 650S I'm buying was $375K.....I'm paying $143K for it so in 7 years the car has lost more than half its value.

2024年9月8日 · I bought a 2016 McLaren 650S with 5k miles instead that is a MUCH faster car vs a C8Z, huge cool factor, rare, and saved $25K to boot. The response has been "warranty Karen's" babbling warranty, warranty, warranty like Gomer Pyle babbling "Citizens Arrest" on the Andy Griffith show.....as if life outside the "safety" of a warranty is somehow ...

2023年9月6日 · Competitor #8 – McLaren 750S. Z06 Win: Maintenance. Maintenance costs on average for the C8 Corvette are more expensive than on previous generation cars. However, with that said the costs will pale in comparison to keeping a McLaren 750S on the road. The 750S will likely cost about double in routine maintenance compared to the Z06.
