The Dreamcast version is exactly like the arcade, which was important to a lot of people that played competitively mostly at arcades up until it’s release. I’ve seen so many edited versions of marvel with different music and colors, so I guess that’s another bonus of having a Dreamcast.

2020年3月13日 · Dreamcast version of MvC1 is a must have. It features 4 person play. It’s not arcade perfect since it runs at a different speed than the CPS2 version. You can also get the brook adapter PS3 to Dreamcast and it works great if you don’t want to buy a brook retro board to mod your stick, or don’t want to buy a Dreamcast compatible arcade stick.

2020年8月13日 · Usually when I see people talk about either game, Marvel vs Capcom 2 is held in higher regard. For me, the first is perfect and the best example of a completely sprite-based 2D fighter. Something about the 3D backgrounds in MVC2 has never worked for me.

2023年7月9日 · Without question - Marvel vs Capcom 2 is the ugliest of all of them. The graphics are hideous even when using quality shaders or scanlines. I did a comparison back to back - MvC2 sprites look way lower resolution than Marvel vs Capcom 1 on Dreamcast and worse than Xmen vs Street Fighter on Saturn. I suspect this may be because of the 3 vs 3 system.

2024年4月5日 · They were arcade perfect ports for 1 and 2. PlayStation 1 couldn't handle the 2D and the PS2 game had janky changes. Saturn is very good for the older games though. Actually the whole reason I ever owned a Saturn was X-Men vs Street Fighter (still have em) and the only reason I own a Dreamcast is MvC2 and CvS2 (still play them)
