It’s happening! Marina Park is getting a new playground this summer 2025! The VenturaWaterPure project recently wrapped up, and we're gearing up to begin construction on the new playground! The new playground features nine new playground structures, including: net climbers, swings, see-saw, tot lot structures, and a ; larger play structure.

This 15-acre beachfront park at the south end of Pierpont Boulevard is a great place to watch boats cruise out of the harbor, fish off the launching dock, and let the kids run free. Facilities include picnic and barbecue areas, a sand volleybal court, a children's play area with a replica of an antique sailing ship and restrooms.

However, there is a lot of wide sandy beach north of the park where San Buenaventura State Beach begins. A pathway leads out toward the end of the jetty protecting Ventura Harbor. Sailing lessons are offered here at Marina Park and you could easily launch a kayak or other small water craft from the dock too. Fishing is allowed from the dock.
