2024年6月6日 · Makena Beach, also known as Big Beach, comprises two different beaches (Little and Big Beach) that create a massive area of sand that is ⅔ of a mile long! It is unique for South Maui beaches in that no resorts are in sight.

Visitors can swim or snorkel in the pristine water, picnic in the shade or simply sunbathe on the seemingly endless expanse of sand. Big Beach is located south of Wailea near the Mākena Beach and Golf Resort and provides a secluded alternative to more crowded beaches in Kāʻanapali and Lāhainā.

The longest stretch of sandy beach in Makena State Park is Makena Beach also known as Big Beach. The 3,000 feet of soft, golden -white sand stretches between two lava rock outcropping. The 100 ft wide beach has shade trees along the backend of the beach.
