2012年5月23日 · Dantrom - I tend to agree with toddconley, the M995 action is as long as it is exceptional. Do it justice by choosing a caliber that makes use of the extra space. Most guys can't make efficient use of most longer-cased calibers as long-range rifles because those long VLD-style bullets need to be stuffed down into the case so far.

I was thinking about buying a Sako M995 in 7mm mag and rebarreling to 300WM What are the pros/cons of the M995 aka TRG-S? I would probably be putting it in a Whiskey 3 chasis. 2009年11月23日 · The biggest problem with M995 is a combination of several things; Being a large action for 338LM sized cartridges, the front and rear bridges are far apart. The top having a large cutout combined with the fact that the scope base is the Sako's proprietary wedge design means you need Sako-specific, extended rings.

2011年2月15日 · I had a sako TRG (M995) and bought the KRG stock and it was outstanding. I think I did have to use a few washers durning install to get everything to work. It was a great "chassis" though. Gun still shot 3-4 MOA groups so I finally sold it and now gave up on the Lazzeroni thing.
