Jacques-Yves Cousteau, AC (/ kuːˈstoʊ /, also UK: / ˈkuːstoʊ /, French: [ʒak iv kusto]; 11 June 1910 – 25 June 1997) [1] was a French naval officer, oceanographer, filmmaker and author.
