2014年8月5日 · Make sure to keep the hole, far enough off the bottom of the bucket, so the flange of the honey gate has enough room for you to install it. I use a 1 3/4" hole saw to drill the hole. Keep in mind there are different sized honey gates out there (we carry 3 different ones). Might be best to wait until you have the gate in hand to start drilling.

2015年7月29日 · If you have decided to install a honey gate you will install it on the bucket with the SOLID bottom. To determine where you want the gate you can use your tape measure and mark it or just eyeball it. We installed our about 1/2″ from the bottom.

Insert the honey gate into the hole. Make sure the silicon gasket is on the gate before inserting into the hole.

All of them that I have used, say they are for a 2" hole, but they seem to fit better in a slightly oversized 1 3/4" hole. I just ordered 10 off eBay.
