Two hooks per rig, 1 ft and 3 ft off the bottom. A few feet above my hooks I have a 6" piece of pool noodle to keep the line vertical and tight. At the top float I leave a few feet of slack so a fish can't drag it downriver or in the case that the river level rises.

I keep mine simple, just 1 hook. If your "free-floating" jugs (Line & Hook with no weight) at night, partially shove a Chem-light in the non line end. When fish takes off with it, it will stand-up and you see the chem light take off. It also makes it easier to track where your Jugs are drifting.
