2017年4月6日 · I swung out that way a couple nights ago. Trying to get from the Horsehead vicinity to the California nebula is ridiculous. Once you clear the Horsehead systems, you have a giant blob of COL 70 blocking your way. Gotta backtrack towards the Witch Head to circumvent the COL 70 systems.

2023年2月14日 · Finally got a picture that I like of the amazing Horsehead nebula. Waiting for some more clear skies, but this came out pretty good. I've honed in on my processing techniques and was able to bring in a lot more star color this time around.

This exceptional image of the Horsehead nebula was taken at the National Science Foundation's 0.9-meter telescope on Kitt Peak with the NOAO Mosaic CCD camera. Located in the constellation of Orion, the Hunter, the Horsehead is part of a dense cloud of gas in front of an active star-forming nebula known as IC434.

2017年2月9日 · The horse head is visible via telescope from earth due to the horse head dark region laying in front, the dark region is in fact shaped like the head not the nebula. There are a few systems where you can see the horses head.

2021年12月20日 · Who knows what the L-ultimate price will be, but I bet the Antlia will be less anyway. I was curious to test the new filter with a target under a full moon so here we go. I tested the Orion LP, Optolong L-enhance, and Antilia Dual Band on the Horsehead Nebula, about 32 degrees away from the full moon. Equipment:

2022年1月15日 · The Horsehead Nebula is a dark nebula that can be found near the the eastern most star in Orion's belt (Alnitak). Next to it is the Flame Nebula. 2022年1月7日 · Horsehead and Flame Nebulae The Horsehead Nebula (Barnard 33) is a dark nebula in the constellation Orion. The horse-head is dark because it is an opaque dust cloud that lies in front of the bright red emission nebula, IC 434. The Flame Nebula (Sh2-277) is an orange-tinted nebula that contains filaments of dark dust.

Great capture! This is actually a combination of several nebulae. NGC2024 - aka the Flame Nebula, Barnard 33 (the Horsehead Nebula itself, which is really small in this one) and IC434, the emission nebula behind the Horsehead.
