In summary: Whenever there is a Gradient Map layer used as a clipping mask and another clipping mask layer is placed directly beneath it, the gradient manipulation handles disappear.

When using gradient map (last version photoshop, 23.5.1), with the preset foregroud to transparent, transparency never works with gradient map. I think this is a pretty basic question but with gradient, or gradient tool, transparency works fine.

2022年2月28日 · Hi Jeffrey, thanks for the tip. Found the hidden 'Library' folder and moved the MachinePrefs.psp file to the desktop, restarted Photoshop and then shut down and restarted the computer and still the same issue when trying to use a gradient map.

2022年12月30日 · Until this gets fixed, you can adjust it manually by dragging the color stops to the opposite side. Add your Gradient Map and click on the Gradient. In the Gradient dialog that pops up, click on the black slider and drag it over to the other side and do the same with the white slider. This will keep you moving forward until the problem is fixed.

2021年11月2日 · When I make PSD file in Photoshop 23 with gradient map adjustment layer and then place into Indesign, adjustment layer is ignored. When I open same PSD file in Photoshop 22, gradient map adjustment layer is broken (discarded as uknown data).

2018年11月16日 · Can you plase post a screen capture showing Photoshop UI so we can see what you are showing us in the layers palette and the steps you used in the history palette. Normally gradient maps are uset to convert a Color images to black and white positive image not a negative image.

2023年10月26日 · I "solved" the problem by modifying the gradient map parameters in a hex editor, directly in the PSD file. I just couldn't get the UI to work 😕
