I also tried to put a mini fridge to use as a glycol chiller, (also in the video) Curious on thoughts to improve the mini fridge performance. I am going to try to get the evap/freezer coil in the reservoir and see if that makes a difference or not.

2018年4月12日 · Had some issues with cold crashing. I set the chiller to 28 degrees but the glycol would drop to 20 degrees after the inkbird shut off the chiller. Guessing the recirculation pump you recommended will fix that. Also had an issue with the glycol pump where it needed to be smacked for it to turn back on causing the beer to jump 20 degrees overnight.

2021年3月2日 · That is the only condition when fridge might be better than glycol chiller. Condensation "releases" heat and encourages mold growing in warm temperature. Keeping temperature using glycol chiller in warm and humid environment is a mess. However, the fast chilling of glycol chiller in a warm area is very appealing.

2020年8月14日 · The Penguin is a larger, more powerful chiller and, by dropping the glycol temperature, it's possible to chill to near freezing. The Stasis' minimum temperature is 36F in theory, but in practice, the minimum is a degree or two higher.
