Thragg bears a striking resemblance to the late musician Freddie Mercury of the British rock band Queen and to Han from the popular manga/anime series Fist of the North Star. He is based on General Zod from DC Comics.

Thragg will be the fifth major antagonist of the Invincible series. Thragg's appearance is loosely based on the famous Queen singer Freddie Mercury, Don Frye a former martial artist and wrestler from the 1980s to the 2010s, and the Soviet Union dictator Joseph Stalin.

Freddie Mercury was in fact a big inspiration for the look of a Thragg. I don't think that's Thragg on the image, but it might be, it's been a minute since I read the series.

Thragg is the strongest Viltrumite in the entire series, trained from birth to be the strongest of all. He's so strong he can fight several Rognarrs (one of the few creatures in the universe that present a threat to a Viltrumite) by himself and win without trouble.
