Has anyone ever ordered from Fabric Wholesale Direct? : r/sewing
Dec 25, 2019 · Renaissance Fabrics has gorgeous fabric, but they can be expensive. Same for Farmhouse Fabric. Both are worth looking at though since they may have things in your price range. 96 district fabrics also has reasonably priced silks. I haven't bought from them, though, so I can't comment on the quality.

I've heard good things about the Fabric Market, Mood, Califabrics and Fabric Wholesale but I haven't personally shopped at those stores.

Fabric Mart for wools, if on sale. Dharma Trading for all undyed silks, roving, yarn, velvet and specialty fabric like puppet fleece and sculptural fabric.

Oct 23, 2019 · The only problem I had was that they shorted me a yard of fabric on one order, but I explained what happened with photos and they sent me the correct yardage and told me to keep the fabric. You pretty much get what you pay for, but my favorite fabric from them is their matte satin which is a joy to sew with. Definitely order swatches!

Jan 16, 2023 · Fabric Wholesale Direct! Their stuff is the cheapest stuff around that is restocked/not deadstock. You do end up paying a bit more when you account for shipping, unless you hit the $99 threshold for free shipping, but it’s still the cheapest place I buy fabric from.
Where to source wholesale fabric and/or find manufacturers?
Jun 23, 2022 · I personally order custom fabric in bulk and both sell it by the yard and I also make and sell items I make with the fabric. Samples should be free. The shipping for samples is running about $35-50. Don't ship by sea--it'll take almost 8 months to reach you, if ports clear up. Factor the cost of air shipping into your retail pricing.

Jul 11, 2022 · I have ordered from them, fabric was mostly as expected, but for one the color was waaaay different than the site shows. This was the purple paradise lace they sold (looks like they stopped stocking it), looked bright purple online, arrived burgundy.
