Lasgun fire was also extremely dangerous as a lasgun contacting a shield would cause an atomic reaction, so guns of almost all sorts were rendered pretty much useless, this is where the swords and knives come from, the line "the slow blade penetrates the shield" was a limit that was meant to dictate the entirety of warfare in the Dune timeline ...

2021年10月13日 · Basically, what I did to make this timeline was combine the timelines found in the Dune Encyclopedia (which is known to be incorrect on several dates and is now deemed non-canonical) and the timeline found on the Dune Wiki page which features dates from the new spin-off novels written by Brian Herbert as well as dates from the original series.

The sequels to Dune are Messiah, Children of Dune, God Emperor, and so on. I have book Two which is called Muad'dib and the third book being Children of Dune There's something off here.
