The Chevrolet Corvette GTP was an American Grand Touring Prototype-class sports prototype racing car which successfully participated in the IMSA Camel GT from 1984 until 1989. The car was professionally fielded in competition as General Motors' Chevrolet Corvette C4 official factory team effort in the IMSA GTP class.

2022年11月23日 · This Chevrolet Corvette GTP is the final of seven prototype race cars built by Lola Cars Limited and developed by General Motors between 1984 and 1988 for GM’s factory campaign in the IMSA GT Championship, and it is one of two examples designed for V8 power.

The Corvette GTP made its racing debut in 1984 at the Grand Prix of Miami running under the Racing Systems team name and wearing a mostly all-white paint scheme. The car started in 29th place and finished in 13th overall. The car raced only two more times that season, failing to finish at Riverside and taking another 13th place at Sears Point.

2024年12月26日 · Not just a 1-of-7 race car, but the only running example known to exist. This Corvette GTP (chassis No. 711 HU2) was delivered new to Lee Racing ahead of the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1985. The car would compete in 10 races that season and was retired the following year after two races.

1985 Corvette GTP. This is the first of the Corvette badged Lola GTP cars delivered. Although it is chassis number 711 HU2, it was delivered to Lee Racing in time for the Sunbank 24 at Daytona in 1985. Chassis HU1 would be delivered to Hendrick racing for Sebring that same year.

The T710 was built to accommodate the Ryan-Falconer Buick-based 3.4 liter V6 turbocharged engine (originally an Indy car engine from 1980) and the T711 the normally asperated Chevrolet 350 V8.
