Evidently you failed to read my post. The I6 I already have. Got it for a song. It came out of a Trailblazer and is in the same series of modular 4, 5 and 6 cylinder engines that GM produces. I also said IT HAS THE SAME ECU FOR ALL 3 ENGINES. It should actually have the same engines mounts too. I just have to confirm that.

You are as miserable as I have been the last 3 years. I have a 2006 GMC Canyon. It has a 2.8 liter 4 cylinder. It never runs good. It idles rough. The check engine light is off and on all the time. The last time I brought the truck in it was some actuator and they cleaned my throttle body and adjusted the fuel with a computer. Costed me over ...

2008年9月1日 · I have an 07 Colorado 4 cylinder, 4wd. I've had no problems with the engine, altho the lack of low end torque is annoying. Shoulda bought the 4.10 rear end. With regards to alignment, the truck always tended to wander a little, so I finally got off my lazy hind end and took it in for a check. Man, what a difference.

I have a 2005 Chevy Colorado 4wd 5-cyl. (91,000). If my truck sits for awhile while it is running my check engine light will come, after I drive it for awhile the light will reset itself and go off. Well now, the light has come on, and the last three times that I have tried to get gas, the pump will shut off after about 70 cents.

This letter, essentially stated that the engines on these vehicles were given an extended warranty for 7yrs/100,000 miles. Yes, if your engine is making new, and/or strange noises, you should have it looked at by the dealer ASAP. If it is indeed a cylinder head issue, the repair, if paid out of pocket", would be near $3000, parts and labor.

I bought a 2006 Chevy Colorado in November with 60k miles. After approximately 2 months of the check engine light came with code P0305; the fuel mileage dropped from 19.5 mpg to 17 mpg. After changing ALL the spark plugs, the truck seems to run worse. I do not want to have to change all the coil packs at $75 each.

The 4.3 is a good engine but the 3.5 has more hp than the 4.3. The hp on the 4.3 is 195 and the hp on the 3.5 is 220 on all except on the 07 which is 242. I have a 2004 ext. cab 4x4 with a 3.5 that just turned 50k miles and I love the truck. I haven`t had any trouble with the truck.

I just took my 2006 Colorado into the dealer due to rough idle also. It has 64,000 miles on it. You guessed it the head was bad. They are going to replace it for free. Would have been around $3000.00. If you have problems with your 5-cyl. engine idling rough make sure you tell the dealer that you know of this problem.

"Shifty", I was just browsing a couple of the "discount" GM parts site on the net, looking for parts for my car. This Canyon/Colorado cylinder head discussion struck my memory, so I looked it up. A 5 cyl. head is "discount priced" at $875 plus shipping. The 4 cyl. head is about $100 less. Valves are $14 and $16 for intake/exhaust, respectively.
