2025年2月6日 · Unfortunately the parts they need have, in his words, "no ETA" so they're just hanging onto my Bronco indefinitely until they can repair it. In the meantime, they've given me a Mustang convertible as a loaner (it was the only other Ford available that day at the local Enterprise, apparently).

2024年3月9日 · UPDATE: As many of you had suspected, there is some damage to the rear tailgate - some deformation where the spare tire mount attaches to the tailgate. Tailgate opening/closing and struts function perfectly. Should hopefully be a quick and painless repair.

2023年4月18日 · Ford doesn't really stock any of the internal parts on the rear end - they just swap the entire thing out. You can get parts individually from Dana/Spicer, but Ford isn't going to do that on warranty repair.

2024年3月3日 · Received my Bronco back this week after 16 days in the shop. On top of the RDU being replaced the tech replaced a rear axle as well. With all the extra nuts, bolts, clamps, hangers, oil, etc, etc the total was nearly $4000.

2023年8月4日 · After they did their investigation, they discovered that a gear has broke causing grinding to happen when it turned. Metal shards were all in the rear differential, even after flushing it out. Ford gave them the OK to replace the entire rear diff as it was too damaged to save.

2022年8月3日 · I paid my mechanic over $1200 for the rear end on my 82. Its been back to his shop three times now for a leak. He replaced a gasket in it and solved that leak (so far) but the other leak at the bolt, he can't seem to fix.

2022年11月21日 · I was told that an axle seal had failed and that new seal and axle assembly were going to be needed for the repair. The parts are on backorder with no ETA. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem and if so, how long did parts take to get in.
