Get to know this 3.4-mile out-and-back trail near USAF Academy, Colorado. Generally considered a challenging route. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and snowshoeing, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are March through November. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

Blodgett Peak requires a challenging 3.2 mile ascent through the passage of rocky canyon to the summit where hikers gain panoramic views of Pikes Peak, Rampart Reservoir, and the United States Air Force Academy.

2017年9月13日 · This excellent hike on West Woodmen Road offers stunning mountain and city views, with a beautiful creek and plenty of big trees along the way. The trail is well-marked and has slippery, loose gravel and rocky sections. Some parts of the trail can be icy in the winter, and hiking poles with microspikes are recommended.

Blodgett Open Space is an access point to the Pike National Forest, via the Hummingbird Trail, from the north parking lot trailhead. There are no designated trails beyond the end of Hummingbird Trail, to include Blodgett Peak which is part of the Pike National Forest.
