Mark Berry (born 18 April 1964), better known as Bez, is an English dancer, DJ and media personality. He is best known as a member of the rock bands Happy Mondays and Black Grape.

Happy Mondays are an English rock band formed in Salford in 1980. The original line-up consisted of brothers Shaun Ryder (vocals) and Paul Ryder (bass), Gaz Whelan (drums), Paul Davis (keyboard), and Mark Day (guitar). Mark "Bez" Berry later joined the band onstage as a dancer and maracas player.

Not only has Bez been ever-present in Happy Mondays, Bez also joined the Happy Mondays offshoot Black Grape with whom he still appears regularly now. After the Happy Mondays broke up, lead singer Shaun Ryder started another group in the same mode, Black Grape. Ryder didn’t play any musical instruments himself; when the one Monday he chose to join him in Black Grape was Bez, the other nonmusical member of the group, everyone wondered if it was a cunning plan or a cosmic joke.

Bez is best known as the maraca player, dancer, and de facto mascot of rock band Happy Mondays, having been invited by lead singer Shaun Ryder shortly after the band was formed. He is chiefly remembered for his bizarre style of dancing and use of maracas.
