Growing up right next door to the church, Andreas Scholl was enrolled at the age of seven into the Kiedricher Chorbuben, first documented in the year 1333 as a schola of 'men assisting the priests on all Sundays, singing the Gregorian chants'. Later, it became a boys' choir school.
