Dave decides to go to Talbot directly and tell him about the cane due to Alvin being terrified of Mr. Talbot. Dave informs Talbot on what happened. During the conversation, Talbot transforms into a werewolf. He chases a terrified Dave until Dave knocks himself out after hitting a lamp post, and Talbot leaves him unconscious to attack the school.

Alvin is given the role of the butler instead, and Dave confiscates Alvin's monster collection. Alvin and Simon begin searching for proof that Mr. Talbot is a werewolf. Meanwhile, Theodore is bitten by what he believes to be a large dog on his way home, after a meeting with his crush Eleanor.

Having followed Dave, Mr. Talbot makes his way inside and chases after Alvin (who realizes he was right to suspect Mr. Talbot). Later in the play, Theodore changes into a werewolf and starts to attack Eleanor .

Dave is the loving father of The Chipmunks, despite his children, especially Alvin driving him crazy in most of the cartoon episodes and CGI/live-action films. Like any other single parent trying to raise their kids, Dave has his patience tested on a daily basis.

As Alvin struggles with nightmares involving werewolves, the school play of Jekyll & Hyde is in jeopardy when the lead, Alvin, is suspended. In an attempt to boost his confidence, the principal suggests Theodore, who's suddenly going through some canine changes.

Just before Alvin gets mauled by a werewolf in his nightmare, he awakens screaming in terror loud enough to jolt the other two chipmunks awake and send Dave literally flying into the ceiling! The Cavalry Arrives Late : Dave witnesses Talbot transform into a werewolf and rushes to warn the school, but bumps into a pole and falls to the ground ...

When Dave runs away from werewolf Mr. Talbot, his first priority is to get to the school as soon as possible and warn the kids. Not too far behind him, an enraged Mr. Talbot storms out of his house and lets out a wolf's howl to the night sky before continuing the chase.
