Wagerup Power Station is a 380MW dual natural gas and distillate fuelled power station located at Alcoa’s Wagerup refinery in south-west Western Australia. [1] Located about 130 km south of Perth, on the border of Western Australia’s Peel and South West regions, the Power Station is four kilometres north of Yarloop and 13 km south of Waroona.

The gas-fuelled Pinjarra Power Station is a cogeneration plant located at Alcoa’s Pinjarra refinery in WA. The plant produces both electricity and steam. The electricity generated is used to supply the South West Interconnected system (SWIS) and the steam is used by Alcoa in its refinery.

We are constructing a large battery energy storage system at Wagerup Power Station. Building on our earlier experience developing a 35 MW battery at the Newman Power Station in 2018 — now owned by APA Group — Wagerup's will be nearly three times larger in terms of capacity at 100 MW (200 MWh).
