2011年5月19日 · The 71-73 pinto's came with either the 1.6L OHV Kent engine, or the 2.0L EAO. The 1.3, 1.6, and 1.8L EAO's were only used in Europe. I used to autocross a 72 Pinto with the 2.0 EAO engine, I loved out running V8's with it.

The '71 thru '73 Pinto is a different spec front end than the '74 thru '81 Pinto/Bobcat and is shared with the '74 thru '78 Mustang II. The Mustang II front end was designed to accommodate a lot more weight than is generally believed.

2012年9月19日 · I drilled and taped a piece of steel bar stock to place the unit a little lower and I think it s about in the right position now. One surprise was the new Pinto brake cable has two cable cover segments. I will likely have to cut the cable (discard the upper slegment) and install the lower segment to the brake drum & frame.

2006年12月3日 · That intake is for the EAO 2.0 that came in 1971-73 Pinto's, since yours is the ranger 2.0 it won't directly bolt up, plus on the 2.3 based engine the distributor get's in the way which is why the 2.3 had the intakes with striaght runners and curved intake ports in the head.

2010年11月3日 · It had a 73 Pinto front cross member and front susp. The rear had a crazy c-notch/cage setup with coil springs, ladder bars and panhard bar. After driving it for a year, and coming close to bagging it (like the last couple cars I had) I couldnt resist turning it into a gasser.
