2012年7月18日 · A 1951 GMC 228 1/2 ton 102-22. Engine tunes freely but has not been started in over ten years. Got it towed here and my two bother in laws, (one a mechanic and one a car guy former mechanic) have both tried to get this started and we can't.

2006年7月14日 · I'm running a 75 chevy nova rear end under my 51 GMC. Bolts right up with no mods using your stock springs. So 68-78 novas, 67-69 camaros and birds, some second gen firebirds will work too. Gears will vary from car to car so, you may have to change the gears to get that ratio. Hope this helps.

2009年4月16日 · UK sites Hi fellow brit, if your looking for axles then check out flea bay regularly as they do come up also look on the nrsa message board parts for sale, see them on there too where guys are chucking em out for new front clips etc. i have a spare 1/2 ton axle but its just the bare beam, no spindles, brakes etc, i swapped it out for a 4'' dropped one from sids.

2010年10月21日 · Some info, if someone wants it....its off a 1951 Chevy 1/2 ton and it has Patrick's 3.55 ring/pinion gears. The brakes are complete - shoes are about 2 years old with very few miles and the brake cylinders were rebuild then as well. The brakes have been disassembled but I have all the parts. I will wait a week before removing it from the yard.

I'm getting ready to start on a 1951 GMC pickup and need to look for some new panels I want to know if the Chevy and GMC fenders, hood ect are the same I know the grilles are different but what else can interchange. Any help would be great,

2014年12月23日 · The basic frame is the same 47-53 and as Nate mentioned, a few tweaks were done during the seven year run. Shock mounts, spare tire brackets, maybe(?) the angle of the rear engine mount, and the rear cab mounts are a few that come to mind but you can definitely use a 53 frame under a 47 and visa-v
