The real-life Doc Holliday used several kinds of guns during his lifetime, but his weapons of choice were the 1877 Colt Lightning, an 1880 Remington, a street howitzer, a bowie knife, and the Colt Single Action Army revolver, also known as the Peacemaker.

On October 26, 1881, Holliday was deputized by Tombstone city marshal Virgil Earp. The lawmen attempted to disarm five members of the Cowboys near the O.K. Corral on the west side of town, which resulted in the famous shootout. Following the Tombstone shootout, Virgil Earp was maimed by hidden assailants while Morgan Earp was killed.

2020年11月9日 · Historians believe that John Henry Holliday was in five confirmed shooting affrays in his fifteen years in the West. On New Year’s Day in 1875, Doc and Charles Austin fired their pistols within Dallas city limits. Neither man was hurt. When Doc was 25, he was attacked and seriously wounded by Henry Kahn after a quarrel during a card game.
