Universal HD was rebranded in 2008 by S4 Studios. The new graphics for the channel contains three elements: metallic tubes, copper balls and an infinite plane. The channel ceased operations on July 15, 2017 and was replaced by Olympic Channel.

Despite being replaced in 2012, this logo is still used by Universal Pictures International, and Universal Music Group (the latter broke up from the studio in 2004). Universal Sony Pictures Home Entertainment also used it until 2023, when All Interactive Distribution took over physical media distribution.

As with the DreamWorks and Imagine Entertainment logos, the Universal logo is animated in the style of the original book, taking place on a teal background with no stars. The globe is red with the continents in white with black outline, the flash is white, and "UNIVERSAL" is in a white Suessian font along with the URL.

On HD-DVD releases, at the end, the logo zooms back to reveal it is being reflected in a giant "HD-DVD" logo in the same space background, which then shines. From 2010 to 2013, a sped-up version is used upon entering the Universal Pictures website.

On newer HD prints of older Universal films, the 2002/2005 enhanced version plasters the original logos. Even the 1999 URL-only version plasters the original trademark versions on some titles. It is also seen on the international prints of Eye See You (internationally released as D-Tox ).
