Steve Ray Hamer (born November 13, 1973) is an American former professional basketball player. He had a brief National Basketball Association career. The 7-foot center played at the University of Tennessee.

A men's basketball standout for the Vols from 1992-96, Steve Hamer was promoted to the role of Director of Letterwinner Relations in April of 2022. Hamer had returned to his alma mater as an assistant director of development with the Tennessee Fund in 2020.
