Miles will always be “Miles Morales” Spider-Man because Spider-Man will always be Peter Parker. Even Miguel O’Hara is always called Spider-Man 2099, and never just Spider-Man, because Spider-Man is Peter Parker. If Miles was Spider Kid or Kid Web or literally anything else then nobody would care.

Peter can adapt to fight and use his powers creatively better than nearly any other hero. With enough prep time, he can invent technological solutions that augment and harmonize with his powers. Miles Morales is a smart kid, but he's no super-genius. Peter is like a precognitive, superstrong Bill Gates multiplied by Bobby Fisher.

Originally created in the Ultimate Universe, this version of Spider-Man is a 16 year old kid named Miles Morales from Brooklyn who takes on the Spider-Man identity after Peter Parker's death.
