2008年10月27日 · A 1967 big block should have casting #3902406 found on bellhousing flange area on the driver side. Other year's blocks will have different casting numbers. There should also be a block casting date located below center freeze plug on passenger side of 396 engine, something like J 10 6 indicating the month (J), date (10), and year of casting (6).

2011年11月14日 · I want to get some more info on converting from a sb to bb in my 64 el camino. I've read on this forum that the sb mounts should work? My car was originally A/C equipped. Car has a 65 12 bolt with 4.56 gears and a 1974 M-20 muncie. I'll probably run manual steering and manual 4 wheel disc brakes. Is hood clearance an issue with a bb? Thanks.
