The Edsel Villager is a station wagon that was produced and sold by Edsel from 1958 to 1960. Introduced using the narrower Ford station wagon body, the Villager was a divisional counterpart of the Ford Country Sedan .

The Villager represented the lower trim level available within the Edsel brand for station wagons. but differed from the two-door Roundup by being offered in six and nine passenger styles. The Villager was available in a four-door configuration only.

Only in production from 1958-1960, The Edsel was famously doomed from the start. Despite the writing on the wall, Ford went head with a redesigned Edsel for 1960. Production for 1960 Edsels began on September 14, 1959. The new line was introduced on October 15th and sadly the Edsel assembly line was shut down on November 19th of 1959.

So actually, the first failure occurred for the Ford Edsel before anyone even saw the automobile. For consignment, an original Edsel Villager Station Wagon, kept in dry storage for the last 30 years and part of a larger collection, but never shown to the public.
