BEIJING, April 25 (Xinhua) -- President of Xinhua News Agency Fu Hua met with Tom Fletcher, UN under-secretary-general for humanitarian affairs and emergency relief coordinator, in Beijing on Friday.

The soldier, who served in the 79th Battalion of the "Machatz" Armored Brigade, was killed "during combat in northern Gaza," the military said, adding that his family had been notified of his death.
